Maintenance Terms & Conditions

Everything you need to know about your SOLE software maintenance agreement, support coverage, and renewal policies.

After purchase of a new SOLE software product, you will receive a 360-day Maintenance Agreement at no additional charge. After the end of the 360-day period, you will receive a renewal notice on your registered mail or contact number to keep your Maintenance Agreement active.

Please note: The complimentary 360-day Agreement is applicable on new software purchases only, not to upgrades.

What does an active Maintenance Agreement include?

Support — Technical Support, which may be via telephone, e-mail or through online support.
Software Updates — Eligible updates, enhancements, and interim releases without charges.
Dongle Protection — Fully insured hardware protection lock to run software.

How does software reactivation work during AMC?

During the AMC period, the software asks for reactivation 3 to 4 times a year. You simply send the request code by clicking the Send Request Code button (Internet connection required), or you can SMS/mail the Request Code to us. SOFTBIZ will instantly send you the reactivation code.

The software does not stop working immediately — it flashes the message 3 to 4 days before stopping, so you can reactivate at your convenience.

If you report a lost dongle, you pay only the hardware lock cost (Rs. 5,000) instead of the full software cost. SOFTBIZ will issue a new dongle and permanently deactivate the lost one.
Complaints must be sent via your registered e-mail account only.

Is the Maintenance Agreement mandatory?

The AMC (Annual Maintenance Cost) is not mandatory. However, keeping the Maintenance Agreement active means you won't need to pay full software cost for upgrades. Most of our customers choose to keep their Maintenance Agreement active.

What happens if I don't keep my Maintenance Agreement active?

You will be charged for upgrades — the cost can be equal to the full new software price.
You will not receive technical support.
You must pay a minimum 10% of software cost fee per license if you are eligible for AMC renewal.

What is the AMC Charge?

A minimum AMC fee of 10% of software cost applies if you renew your Maintenance Agreement after it lapses. This renewal is applicable for 1 year.
